I have a Kenmore refrigerator and the water filter light keeps flashing. I’ve tried to reset it but I’m not sure how. Can anyone help me figure out how to reset the water filter light? I’ve looked up instructions online, but the instructions are not clear. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I recently had to reset the water filter light on my Kenmore refrigerator. It was a daunting task at first, but I was able to figure it out with a bit of research and patience.
First, I unplugged the refrigerator and waited for the light to go off. Then, I located the filter compartment and removed the filter. I inspected the filter to make sure it was clean and free of any debris.
Next, I reinserted the filter and plugged the refrigerator back in. I pressed and held the “reset” button for a few seconds until the light went off. This indicated that the filter was reset and ready to go.
I was relieved to have the filter reset and the light off. I was also proud of myself for figuring out how to do it. It was a great feeling to know that I was able to fix the issue without having to call a repairman.
