I recently had to replace the thermal fuse on my Kenmore Elite dryer. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to get it done. I started by unplugging the dryer and removing the back panel. Once I had access to the thermal fuse, I used a screwdriver to remove the screws that held it in place. I then disconnected the wires from the thermal fuse and removed it. I purchased a new thermal fuse from a local hardware store and installed it in the same way I removed the old one. I reconnected the wires and reattached the back panel. After plugging the dryer back in, I tested it out and was relieved to find that it was working properly again. Replacing the thermal fuse was a challenge, but I’m glad I was able to get it done.
