I recently had to replace the Kenmore refrigerator water filter 9690 and it was not an easy task. I had to take off the bottom grille, locate the filter housing, and then unscrew the old filter. After that, I had to take out the new filter and insert it into the housing, making sure that it was properly seated. I then had to replace the grille and make sure that the filter was properly secured.
It was a bit of a challenge, but I was eventually successful. I was glad that I was able to do it myself and didn’t have to call a repairman. I also felt a sense of accomplishment for being able to figure out how to do it. I was also relieved that I didn’t have to buy a new refrigerator or pay someone to do the job.
