how to replace kenmore refrigerator door gasket

I have a Kenmore refrigerator and the door gasket needs to be replaced. I’m not sure how to go about doing this and I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’ve looked online and I’m not sure what the best way to go about replacing the gasket is. Is there a specific type of gasket I should buy or any special tools I need? I’m not very handy and I don’t want to make a mistake. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I recently had to replace the door gasket on my Kenmore refrigerator. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to do it myself.

I started by researching the best way to do it. I found some helpful videos online that showed me how to remove the old gasket and how to install the new one.

I gathered all the tools I needed: a screwdriver, pliers, and a putty knife. I unplugged the refrigerator and then opened the door. I used the screwdriver to remove the screws that held the old gasket in place. After removing the screws, I used the pliers to pull the gasket off.

Next, I carefully measured the new gasket and cut it to size. I used the putty knife to spread a thin layer of adhesive onto the refrigerator door. I then carefully placed the new gasket onto the door and used the screwdriver to secure it in place.
