why is my hotpoint dryer not heating up

I recently purchased a Hotpoint dryer, but it’s not heating up. I’ve checked the power cord, and it’s plugged in securely. I’ve also checked the circuit breaker and it’s in the on position. I’m not sure what else to do. I’m hoping someone here can help me figure out why my dryer isn’t heating up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
