why is my electrolux oven telling me to remo the racks during self clean

I have an Electrolux oven and it’s been giving me a message to remove the racks during the self-cleaning cycle. I’m not sure why it’s doing this, as I’ve never had this issue before. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what the cause might be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Hi there,

Thanks for your question about your Electrolux oven. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your oven and it’s telling you to remove the racks during the self-clean cycle.

There are a few reasons why your oven might be telling you to remove the racks during self-clean. First, the racks may not be able to withstand the intense heat of the self-clean cycle, which can reach temperatures of up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit. This can cause the racks to warp or even melt, so it’s important to remove them before you start the cycle.

Second, the racks may be blocking the airflow inside the oven. The self-clean cycle requires a lot of air circulation, so if the racks are blocking the airflow, it could cause the oven to overheat and shut off. Removing the racks will ensure that the air can flow freely and the oven will be able to complete the self-clean cycle.
