why does my ge washer stop mid cycle

I have a GE washer that has been stopping mid-cycle for the past few weeks. I’m not sure why this is happening, but it’s been quite frustrating. I’ve tried to troubleshoot the issue myself, but I’m not sure what the problem is. I’ve checked the hoses, the power cord, and the water supply, but nothing seems to be the issue. I’m hoping that someone here can help me figure out why my washer is stopping mid-cycle and how I can fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. The most common reason for a washing machine to stop mid-cycle is an issue with the timer or water level switch. The timer controls the length of the cycle and if it is faulty it can cause the machine to stop mid-cycle. The water level switch is responsible for detecting the water level in the machine and if it is faulty it can cause the machine to stop mid-cycle. Other possible causes include a faulty lid switch, faulty drain pump, or a kinked or blocked drain hose.
