why are electric and water hose on left side of kitchenaid dish washer

I recently purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher and noticed that the electric and water hoses were on the left side. I’m wondering why this is and if it’s something I should be concerned about. Is this the standard setup for most dishwashers or is there something I should be aware of? I’d appreciate any advice or insight you can provide. Thank you!
