what would cause a loud bang from my hotpoint washing machine not working

I have a Hotpoint washing machine that recently started making a loud bang when I turn it on. I’m not sure what the cause of this is and I’m hoping someone out there can help me figure it out. I’ve checked the filter and there doesn’t seem to be any blockages, and I’ve also checked the hoses and connections to make sure they are all secure. I’m not sure what else to do and I’m hoping someone can help me out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
