ihave kitchenaid dish washer and soap cakes up what do i do

I have a KitchenAid dishwasher and I’m having an issue with it. I’m noticing that soap cakes up in the dishwasher after it runs a cycle. I’ve tried to clean it out, but the problem still persists. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to fix this issue? I’d really appreciate any help or advice that anyone can offer. Thank you!
