how to use a kitchenaid dishwasher

I recently moved into a new home and I’m having trouble figuring out how to use my kitchenaid dishwasher. I’ve looked at the manual and watched some videos online, but I’m still having trouble understanding how to use it properly. I’m hoping to get some advice from others who have experience with kitchenaid dishwashers. Can anyone explain how to load the dishwasher and how to choose the right cycle for different dishes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
