how to take the timer off a hotpoint washer machine

I’m having trouble taking the timer off my Hotpoint washer machine. I’ve looked up instructions online, but I’m having trouble understanding them. Does anyone here have experience with this type of machine and can explain to me how to take the timer off? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
