how to take apart a kitchenaid direct drive washer

I’m having some trouble taking apart my kitchenaid direct drive washer. I’ve tried to do it myself, but I’m not sure how to go about it. I’m hoping someone can help me out. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to take apart this type of washer? I’m looking for step-by-step instructions on how to do it safely and correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

  1. I remember the first time I had to take apart a KitchenAid Direct Drive Washer. I was nervous and unsure of what I was doing. I started by unplugging the washer from the wall and turning off the water supply. I then removed the back panel and disconnected the water hoses. I unscrewed the screws that held the top panel in place and carefully lifted it off. I then removed the screws that held the front panel in place and carefully lifted it off. I then removed the screws that held the drum in place and carefully lifted it out. I then removed the screws that held the motor in place and carefully lifted it out. Finally, I removed the screws that held the pump in place and carefully lifted it out. After all the parts were removed, I was able to take the washer apart and see how it worked. It was a great learning experience and I was able to see how all the parts worked together. Taking apart a KitchenAid Direct Drive
