I remember when I had to take apart my Hotpoint dryer for the first time. I was a bit nervous, but I was determined to figure it out. I started by unplugging the dryer from the wall outlet and disconnecting the exhaust vent from the back. Then I removed the screws from the back panel and the top panel. I carefully lifted the top panel off and set it aside. I removed the screws from the front panel and carefully lifted it off. I removed the lint filter and the drum belt.
