how to stop miele washing machine mid cycle

I’m having a problem with my Miele washing machine and I need help. I’m trying to figure out how to stop it mid cycle, but I’m not sure what to do. I’ve tried pressing the on/off button, but that doesn’t seem to work. I’ve also tried unplugging it, but that doesn’t seem to help either. I’m really not sure what to do and I’m hoping someone can help me out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
