how to replace lid switch on kitchenaid washer

I’m having trouble replacing the lid switch on my Kitchenaid washer. I’ve looked up instructions online, but I’m still having trouble understanding how to do it. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to replace the lid switch? I would really appreciate any help or guidance. Thank you!

  1. I recently had to replace the lid switch on my KitchenAid washer. It was a daunting task at first, but after some research and a few tools, it was a breeze. I started by unplugging the washer from the wall, then I removed the top panel. After that, I unscrewed the lid switch from the side of the washer and disconnected the wiring harness. I then took the old switch to the store to get the exact replacement. Once I had the new switch, I reconnected the wiring harness and secured the switch in place. I then replaced the top panel and plugged the washer back in. I was relieved that I was able to replace the switch myself and save money on a repairman. Now my washer is running like new again!
