I have a Kenmore refrigerator and I’m having trouble replacing the defrost timer. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I’m having difficulty getting the timer to fit into the correct place. I understand how it needs to be wired, but I’m not sure how to physically get the timer into the right spot. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to replace the defrost timer on my Kenmore refrigerator? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I recently had to replace the defrost timer on my Kenmore refrigerator. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to do it myself. I started by unplugging the refrigerator and turning off the water supply. Then, I removed the back panel to access the timer. I unscrewed the timer from the wall and disconnected the wires before carefully removing it. I bought a new timer and installed it in the same way I removed the old one. I reconnected the wires and screwed the timer into the wall. Then, I put the back panel back in place and reconnected the power and water supply. After a few hours, the refrigerator was working again. It was a great feeling to have accomplished the task on my own. I’m now confident that I can tackle any future repairs that come my way.
