I have a Kenmore refrigerator and I’m having trouble replacing the defrost timer. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I’m having difficulty getting the timer to fit into the correct place. I understand how it needs to be wired, but I’m not sure how to physically get the timer into the right spot. I unscrewed the timer from the wall and disconnected the wires before carefully removing it. I bought a new timer and installed it in the same way I removed the old one. I reconnected the wires and screwed the timer into the wall. Then, I put the back panel back in place and reconnected the power and water supply.
