I have a GE washer and I’m trying to figure out how to replace the agitator. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find any instructions on how to do it. Does anyone have any experience with this type of repair? Is it something I can do myself or do I need to hire a professional? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

1. Unplug the washer from the wall outlet.
2. Turn off the water supply valves to the washer.
3. Remove the agitator cap from the top of the agitator.
4. Remove the bolt from the bottom of the agitator.
5. Lift the agitator out of the washer.
6. Place the new agitator into the washer.
7. Replace the bolt and tighten it.
8. Replace the agitator cap.
9. Turn on the water supply valves.
10. Plug the washer into the wall outlet.
