how to remove the water pump on a kitchenaid top load washer

I’m looking for help on how to remove the water pump on my kitchenaid top load washer. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find any instructions on how to do this. I’m not sure what tools I need or what steps I need to take to get the water pump out. I’m hoping someone here can help me out with this and provide me with the information I need. Any advice or tips on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  1. I recently had to remove the water pump on my KitchenAid top load washer. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to get it done. I started by unplugging the washer from the wall and turning off the water supply. I then removed the back panel of the washer and located the water pump. I removed the clamps and hoses from the pump and then unscrewed the two mounting screws that held it in place. I carefully pulled the pump out and set it aside. I then replaced the mounting screws and clamps and reconnected the hoses. Finally, I reattached the back panel and plugged the washer back in. It was a difficult job, but I was proud of myself for getting it done.
