I’m having trouble removing the agitator from my GE washer. I’ve looked at the manual, but it’s not helping me. I’ve tried to pull it out, but it won’t budge. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the agitator from a GE washer? I’d really appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks in advance!

To remove the agitator from a GE washer, first unplug the washer from the power source. Then, remove the fabric softener dispenser cup, if present. Next, remove the fabric softener cap and the cap seal. Then, remove the agitator bolt and the agitator. Finally, pull the agitator straight up to remove it.
