I’m trying to remove an ice maker from my Kenmore refrigerator and I’m wondering if anyone can help me out. I’ve read the manual, but I’m still having trouble. I’m not sure how to disconnect the water line and I’m worried about damaging the refrigerator if I don’t do it correctly. Does anyone have experience with this and can provide me with some advice? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I recently had to remove an ice maker from a Kenmore refrigerator. It was an intimidating task, but I was determined to do it myself. I started by unplugging the refrigerator from the wall and turning off the water supply. I then used a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the back panel of the refrigerator and removed the panel. I was then able to access the ice maker and disconnect the water line from the back of the refrigerator. I then unscrewed the mounting screws that held the ice maker in place and carefully pulled it out. After that, I put the back panel back on and plugged the refrigerator back in. I was relieved to have completed the task successfully and proud of myself for taking on the challenge.
