how to remove an ice maker from a ge refrigerator

I have a GE refrigerator and I’m trying to remove the ice maker. I’ve done some research and it looks like it should be a fairly simple process, but I’m still a bit confused. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this and could provide me with some advice on how to go about it. I’d really appreciate any help or tips that anyone could provide. Thanks in advance!

  1. To remove an ice maker from a GE refrigerator, you will need to first unplug the refrigerator from the power source. Then, locate the ice maker in the freezer section of the refrigerator. Remove the screws that secure the ice maker to the wall of the freezer and pull the ice maker out of the refrigerator. Disconnect the electrical wiring and water line from the ice maker. Finally, lift the ice maker out of the refrigerator and discard it.
