I’m trying to remove the agitator from my Hotpoint model no. VBXR1070WOWW washing machine and I’m not sure how to do it. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find any instructions or advice on how to do this. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to remove the agitator from this model of washing machine? I recently had to remove an agitator from a Hotpoint model no. VBXR1070WOWW washing machine. I was a bit intimidated at first, but after doing some research online, I realized it was a relatively easy process. First, I unplugged the machine from the wall and removed the fabric softener and bleach dispensers. Then, I removed the two screws that were holding the agitator in place. After that, I was able to lift the agitator out of the machine. I was surprised to find that the agitator was actually quite heavy, so I was glad I had done my research and knew to be prepared for that. Once I had the agitator out, I was able to inspect it and make sure it was in good condition. After that, I was able to reinstall the agitator and the fabric softener and bleach dispensers.
