I recently had to remove the agitator from my Hotpoint washing machine. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to do it myself.
I started by unplugging the machine and taking off the top panel. I then had to locate the agitator. It was a bit tricky, but I eventually found it. I used a wrench to loosen the bolt and then carefully pulled the agitator out.
Next, I had to remove the agitator’s drive block. I used a screwdriver to take out the screws and then pulled the block out. I then had to take out the drive block’s retaining clip. I was able to do this with pliers.
Finally, I had to remove the agitator’s drive shaft. I used a socket wrench to loosen the nut and then carefully pulled the drive shaft out.
After all of that, I was finally able to remove the agitator from
