how to load kitchenaid dishwasher

I’m having trouble understanding how to load my KitchenAid dishwasher. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to put all the dishes in facing the same way or if there’s a certain order they should go in. I’m also not sure if I’m supposed to put the silverware in the silverware basket or just put it in the dishwasher. I’m also not sure if I’m supposed to pre-rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher or if that’s not necessary. Any advice on how to properly load my dishwasher would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
