how to force defrost kitchenaid bottom freezer

I have a Kitchenaid bottom freezer that has stopped working and I’m trying to figure out how to force defrost it. I’ve looked online and found some tips and tricks, but I’m still not sure how to go about it. Does anyone have any experience with this type of freezer and could help me out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I had a problem with my Kitchenaid bottom freezer. It had been freezing up and I had no idea how to fix it. I tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked. I finally decided to try forcing it to defrost. I unplugged the freezer and opened the door. I used a hairdryer to blow warm air into the freezer and around the coils. I also used a fan to help circulate the air. I kept the door open for about an hour, and then I shut it. I plugged it back in and waited a few hours to see if it had worked. Thankfully, it had! The freezer was now defrosted and I was able to get back to using it. I was relieved that I was able to fix the problem without having to call a repairman. I learned a valuable lesson – sometimes it pays to try and fix things yourself!
