I have a Hotpoint washing machine that won’t drain. I’ve tried everything I can think of to try and fix it, but nothing has worked. I’ve checked the filter, the drain hose, and the pump, but nothing seems to be the issue. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue? I’m open to any and all suggestions.

My hotpoint washing machine stopped draining and I was at a loss. I had no idea how to fix it. After doing some research, I found out that the most common cause of a washing machine not draining is a blockage in the drainage hose or pump. I decided to start by checking the drainage hose for any blockages. I unplugged the machine and removed the back panel, then I carefully pulled out the hose and inspected it. Sure enough, there was a clump of lint and debris blocking the hose. I removed the blockage and put the hose back in place. I plugged the machine back in and ran a cycle. To my relief, the water drained properly. I was so relieved that I had been able to fix it myself without having to call a repairman. I was proud of myself for taking the initiative and getting the job done.
