I have a Kenmore freezer that needs to be defrosted. I’m not sure how to go about it and I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’m not sure if I should unplug it and let it thaw out or if there is a specific way to do it. I’m concerned about damaging the freezer if I do it wrong. Does anyone have any advice on how to defrost a Kenmore freezer? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I remember the first time I had to defrost my Kenmore freezer. I was so intimidated by the process that I almost called a repairman. But then I remembered my Dad’s words, “If you can read, you can do it yourself.” I took a deep breath and got to work.
First, I unplugged the freezer and opened the door. I took out all the food and put it in a cool place. Then I used a hairdryer to melt the ice. I had to be careful not to overheat the freezer. After about an hour, the ice was gone.
Next, I wiped down the inside of the freezer with a damp cloth. This removed any remaining ice and moisture. I then plugged the freezer back in and put the food back in.
Finally, I set the temperature back to the recommended setting. I was so proud of myself for tackling this task. I felt like I could do anything! From
