how to clean filter kitchenaid dishwasher

I’m having trouble with my Kitchenaid dishwasher and I’m wondering how to clean the filter. I’ve looked online for instructions, but I’m still having trouble figuring it out. Does anyone have any advice on how to clean the filter? I’d really appreciate any help or tips that any of you may have. Thanks in advance!

  1. My kitchenaid dishwasher is one of my favorite appliances and I take great pride in keeping it clean. To ensure that it runs efficiently, I make sure to clean the filter regularly. The first step is to locate the filter. Depending on the model, it may be located at the bottom of the dishwasher or at the back. Once I have located the filter, I remove it and rinse it with warm water. I then use a soft brush to remove any food particles that may have become trapped in the filter. After I have thoroughly cleaned the filter, I place it back in the dishwasher and run a cycle to ensure that all the food particles have been removed. I also take the time to wipe down the interior of the dishwasher with a damp cloth to remove any food particles or residue that could clog the filter. With regular cleaning, my kitchenaid dishwasher runs like a dream and I can rest assured that my dishes are being cleaned properly.
