I have a Hotpoint washer and I’m having a problem with the agitator. It’s not spinning correctly and I’m wondering if there is something I can do to fix it. I recently had to figure out how to change the agitator on my Hotpoint washer. I was a little intimidated at first, but I soon realized that it was not as difficult as I had anticipated.
I started by unplugging the washer and removing the top panel. Once I had done that, I could see the agitator and the mounting bolts. I used a wrench to remove the bolts and then I was able to lift the agitator out of the washer.
I then took the new agitator and placed it into the washer. I used the same wrench to secure the mounting bolts and then I replaced the top panel. I plugged the washer back in and it was ready to go.
