how do i bypass the lid switch on a hotpoint washing machine

I’m having a problem with my Hotpoint washing machine and I’m hoping someone can help me. The lid switch is not working and I’m not sure how to bypass it. I’ve looked online for solutions, but I’m still not sure how to do it. I’ve tried to take the switch out, but I’m not sure if that’s the right thing to do. Does anyone have any advice on how to bypass the lid switch on a Hotpoint washing machine? I would really appreciate any help I can get.

  1. I recently had a problem with my Hotpoint washing machine. The lid switch was broken and I needed to find a way to bypass it. After doing some research online, I found that I could use a piece of wire to bridge the two terminals of the lid switch. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but I decided to give it a try.

I carefully removed the lid switch and used a pair of pliers to bend the ends of the wire into hooks. Then, I hooked the wire onto the terminals of the lid switch and tested it out. To my surprise, it worked! The washing machine was now able to start without the lid switch being engaged.

I was relieved that I was able to bypass the lid switch on my Hotpoint washing machine. I’m glad I was able to find a solution without having to replace the entire lid switch. It was a great feeling to be able to fix the problem myself.
