I’m having trouble removing the agitator from my Hotpoint washing machine. I’ve tried to unscrew the agitator, but it won’t budge. I’ve also tried to pull it out, but it won’t move. I’m not sure what else I can do to get it out. Does anyone have any advice on how I can remove the agitator from my Hotpoint washing machine? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had a Hotpoint washing machine that I had been using for a few years, but it had recently started to make strange noises. After researching online, I realized that the agitator was likely the source of the noise. I had never removed an agitator before, but I was determined to figure it out.
I started by unplugging the machine and removing the top panel. Then, I unscrewed the agitator from the base of the machine. I was surprised to find that it was held in place by just a few screws. Once I had the screws removed, I was able to lift the agitator out of the machine.
Next, I had to clean the agitator. I used a damp cloth and some dish soap to remove any dirt or debris from the agitator. I also wiped down the inside of the washing machine to make sure everything was clean.
