I recently purchased a Hotpoint washer and am having difficulty removing the agitator. I have read the instructions in the manual, but they are not clear. I have tried to pull the agitator out, but it won’t budge. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the agitator? I would really appreciate any help or tips that anyone can provide.

I recently had to figure out how to remove the agitator from my Hotpoint washer. I was a little intimidated at first since I had never done this before. After some research, I realized that it was actually a fairly simple process. I started by unplugging the washer from the wall, then I removed the fabric softener dispenser and the top of the agitator. Then I unscrewed the bolt that held the agitator in place and carefully pulled it out. Once the agitator was out, I was able to access the inside of the washer and clean it out. After that, I put the agitator back in and reattached the fabric softener dispenser and the top of the agitator. I was relieved to have completed the process and was glad that I was able to do it myself.
