ge profile dryer dpse810eg6wt how to check the door switch

I’m having trouble with my GE Profile dryer model DPSE810EG6WT and I’m trying to figure out how to check the door switch. I’ve looked up some tutorials online but they all seem to be missing some steps. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if the tutorials are just not detailed enough. I’m hoping someone here can help me out and explain how to check the door switch on my dryer.
