I recently noticed that my GE microwave fan runs when I open the door. I’m not sure if this is normal or if there is a problem with my microwave. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and if so, what did you do to fix it? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The fan running when the door is open is a normal operation. The fan runs to help cool the electronics on the control panel and to help keep the interior of the microwave from getting too hot.
