ge dryer squeaks when running

I have a GE dryer that is squeaking when I run it. It’s been going on for a few weeks and I’m not sure what to do. I’ve tried cleaning the lint trap and the back of the dryer but it hasn’t made a difference. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to fix this problem or what could be causing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. The most likely cause of a ge dryer squeaking when running is a worn or damaged belt. The belt can become worn over time due to normal wear and tear, or it may be damaged due to a foreign object becoming stuck in the dryer drum. Replacing the belt is usually the best solution to fix the issue.
