ge dryer squeaks when loaded

I have a GE dryer that is making a squeaking noise when I load it with clothes. I’m not sure what the cause of the noise is and I’m hoping to get some advice from the forum. I’ve tried cleaning out the lint filter, but the noise persists. I’m wondering if it could be a problem with the drum or the motor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  1. The likely cause of the squeaking noise is a worn belt or worn drum rollers. The belt may need to be replaced, and the drum rollers may need to be lubricated or replaced.
