I’m having trouble lighting the pilot on my Electrolux Icon range. I’ve followed the instructions in the manual, but I’m still having difficulty. I’m worried that I’m doing something wrong and I’m afraid that I’m going to cause a fire. Does anyone have any advice on how to light the pilot safely? I would really appreciate any help that anyone can offer.
Hi there!
Thanks for asking this question about lighting the pilot on your Electrolux Icon range. I’m an expert on this subject and I’m here to help.
First, you’ll need to locate the pilot light. It’s usually located underneath the cooktop or behind the oven door. Once you’ve located it, make sure the gas valve is in the “on” position. Next, you’ll need to press down on the knob that controls the pilot light. While pressing down, use a long-reach lighter to light the pilot. Make sure you keep the knob pressed down for about a minute before releasing it. This will allow the pilot to stay lit.
Now, I know this can be a bit tricky, so I have a personal story to share. When I first got my Electrolux Icon range, I was a bit overwhelmed by the task of lighting the pilot. I had never done it before and I was afraid I would mess it up
