I have a Hotpoint fridge freezer that has recently started making a loud noise. It sounds like a loud humming or buzzing noise that lasts for a few seconds at a time. I’m not sure what the cause of the noise is or how to fix it. I’ve checked the fan and compressor to make sure they are working properly, but the noise still persists. I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what the problem is and how to fix it.
I was in the middle of making dinner when I heard a loud noise coming from my kitchen. I immediately knew it was my Hotpoint fridge freezer. I had had it for a few years, but it had been running perfectly until now. I was worried it was something serious, so I opened the door to take a look inside. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but the noise was still there. I unplugged the fridge and took a closer look. After a few minutes, I realized that the noise was coming from the fan at the back of the fridge. It had become blocked with dust and debris, causing it to make a loud noise. I cleaned out the fan, plugged the fridge back in, and the noise was gone. I was relieved that the problem was something simple and that my Hotpoint fridge freezer was back to normal.
