why does the amana washing machine not allow real hot water

I have an Amana washing machine and I’m having an issue with it not allowing me to use real hot water. I’m wondering why this is the case. I’ve tried adjusting the settings, but it still won’t allow me to use hot water. I’m concerned that this could be a sign of a bigger problem with the machine. Is there a way to fix this issue or is it something that needs to be looked at by a professional? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
