why does my ge refrigerator freeze up

I have a GE refrigerator and recently it has been freezing up. I’ve noticed that the temperature is set to the correct level, but it still seems to be having issues. I’m worried that something might be wrong with it, but I’m not sure what the issue could be. I’m hoping that someone might be able to help me figure out why my refrigerator is freezing up. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what might be causing this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  1. The most common reason for a refrigerator to freeze up is that the temperature setting is too low. This can be caused by a malfunctioning thermostat, a dirty condenser coil, or a blocked or restricted air vent. In some cases, the refrigerator may be too close to a heat source, such as an oven, or the door may not be closing properly, allowing warm air to enter.
