I recently purchased an Amana TLI22KW refrigerator and I’m trying to better understand the components of it. I’m looking for some help in understanding what a run capacitor is and how it works. Can anyone explain what a run capacitor is and how it relates to my refrigerator? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A run capacitor is an electrical device that helps a refrigerator’s compressor motor start and run efficiently. It helps the motor start by providing a boost of power and then continues to help the motor run efficiently by providing a steady flow of power.
