I am having trouble separating the start relay from the compressor in my Electrolux refrigerator. I have tried to do it myself but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am looking for advice on how to do this properly. Does anyone have any experience with this type of repair? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,
Thanks for your question about how to separate the start relay from the compressor in an Electrolux refrigerator. I know this can be a tricky task, so I’m glad you asked.
First, you’ll need to unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet and remove the back panel. This will give you access to the compressor, which is usually located at the bottom. Once you have the compressor exposed, you’ll need to locate the start relay. This is usually a small black box that’s connected to the compressor. It should have two wires coming out of it.
Once you’ve located the start relay, you’ll need to disconnect the two wires that are connected to it. This can be done by using a pair of pliers or a screwdriver. Once the wires are disconnected, you can remove the start relay from the compressor. Be sure to keep track of which wire goes where, as you’ll need to reattach them once
