how to select hot water for soaking clothes using frigidaire gallery series washing machine

I’m trying to figure out how to select hot water for soaking clothes using my Frigidaire Gallery Series washing machine. I’ve read the instructions, but I’m still confused on how to do this. I’m wondering if anyone can help me out. Is there a specific setting I should use? Do I need to add any additional items to the load? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
