1. Disconnect the power to the washing machine.
2. Remove the top panel of the washer.
3. Remove the agitator and the basket from the washer.
4. Unscrew the screws that hold the transmission in place.
5. Remove the transmission from the washer.
6. Install the new transmission in the washer.
7. Reinstall the screws that hold the transmission in place.
8. Reinstall the agitator and the basket.
