I have a GE electric dryer and I’m trying to replace the heating element. I’ve done some research and watched some videos online, but I’m still not sure how to go about it. I’m wondering if anyone here has experience replacing a heating element in this type of dryer. If so, I would really appreciate any advice or tips you could provide. I’m trying to do this myself and don’t want to have to call in a repairman if I can avoid it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. Disconnect the power to the dryer.
2. Remove the back panel of the dryer.
3. Locate the heating element and remove the wires connected to it.
4. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the heating element.
5. Install the new heating element and secure it with the mounting screws.
6. Reconnect the wires to the new heating element.
7. Replace the back panel and reconnect the power to the dryer.
