I recently had to replace the drain pump on my Amana washing machine. It was a bit of a challenge, but with a few tips and some patience, I was able to get it done.
First, I unplugged the machine and shut off the water supply. Then, I removed the back panel to access the pump. I had to be careful, as the screws were tight and I didn’t want to strip them.
Next, I disconnected the hoses and wiring harness from the old pump. Then, I carefully lifted the pump out of the machine and set it aside. I replaced the old pump with the new one, making sure to connect the hoses and wiring harness correctly.
Finally, I put the back panel back on and plugged the machine back in. I turned the water supply back on and ran a test cycle to make sure the pump was working properly. Thankfully, it worked!
