how to replace a belt on a hotpoint dryer

I’m having trouble replacing the belt on my Hotpoint dryer. I’ve looked up the instructions online, but I’m still having trouble. I’m not sure which way the belt should go around the pulleys or how tight I should make it. I’m also not sure how to put the tensioner back in place. I’m hoping someone can give me some advice on how to properly replace the belt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I remember the first time I had to replace a belt on a Hotpoint dryer. I was living in a small apartment and the dryer was the only one I had access to. I was nervous, but I knew I had to get it done.

I started by unplugging the dryer and removing the top panel. I then had to locate the belt and remove it from the motor. Once I had the belt off, I was able to measure it and find the correct size for the new belt.

I then had to reattach the new belt to the motor, making sure it was tight and secure. I also had to make sure the belt was correctly aligned and that it was not too tight or too loose.

Finally, I had to reattach the top panel and plug the dryer back in. After a few minutes of testing, the dryer was spinning like new. I was so relieved and proud of myself for getting the job
