how to repair a hotpoint tumble dryer

I have a Hotpoint Tumble Dryer that is not working properly. I can hear a humming sound when I turn it on, but the drum won’t rotate. I’ve checked the power cord and it’s plugged in correctly. I’ve also checked the fuse box and all the fuses are in working order. I’m not sure what else to do to get it working again. Does anyone have any advice on how to repair my Hotpoint Tumble Dryer? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  1. I had a Hotpoint tumble dryer for years, but recently it stopped working. I was so frustrated, I didn’t know what to do. After some research, I discovered that the most common problem with Hotpoint tumble dryers is a faulty thermal fuse. I decided to try to replace the fuse myself.

First, I unplugged the dryer from the wall and removed the back panel. I located the thermal fuse and disconnected the wires. I then purchased a new thermal fuse from a local appliance store.

Next, I reconnected the wires to the new fuse and reattached the back panel. I plugged the dryer back in and tested it. Thankfully, it worked!

I was so relieved that I was able to repair the dryer myself. It was a great feeling of accomplishment. I now have a better understanding of how to repair a Hotpoint tumble dryer. Hopefully, I won’t have to do it again anytime soon,
