I am having trouble removing the agitator from my Hotpoint washing machine, model VLSR109G5WW. I have looked at the manual and tried to follow the instructions but I am still having difficulty. I have tried to unscrew the agitator but it won’t budge. Is there any other way to remove the agitator? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had to replace my Hotpoint washing machine agitator model VLSR109G5WW recently. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to do it myself. I started by unplugging the machine from the wall and turning off the water supply. I then removed the screws from the lid and lifted it off to expose the agitator. I unscrewed the bolts that held the agitator in place and then carefully removed it. I then inserted the new agitator, making sure it was securely in place. I replaced the screws and bolts, and then replaced the lid. I plugged the machine back into the wall and turned the water supply back on. I tested the machine and was relieved to see that it was working properly again. I was proud of myself for completing the task successfully and was glad that I didn’t have to pay someone to do it for me.
